| The Institute for Safe Families strives to prevent family violence and promotes the health and well-being of individuals and their communities. To do so, ISF advocates for the development of effective educational programs and policies that serve the needs of families and communities that are at risk for or are experiencing interpersonal violence. The Scattergood Foundation will enable ISF to development a leadership program for preventing domestic violence based on a web-based tool-kit created by LEAPSF.org, a comprehensive electronic resource for patients, families and health care providers. By educating interested parties about established best practices in pediatric healthcare-based domestic violence screening and treatment, the leadership development program will enhance the field's ability to respond to and support children exposed to violence. |
